Nice Job. Its very important for students...Frater,<br /><br />Nice Job. Its very important for students to see the differing views of initiation in its historical context. I agree that initiations are not just a right that one should be given to anyone. I look at initiation in terms of the alchemical process that occurs within. One must have the physical initiation and then be granted the inward initiation by the processes they go through in that grade. They must show some progress before moving into the next grade. However, like in alchemy sometimes there remains some dross, which can come up in a later grade (or process). The nature of alchemy is a constant purification so as one reaches subtler and subter levels the initiations become more intense and eventually all the dross is removed.
